Spring Registration is Now Open!

Hi all!

Registration is now open for all levels of Spring Recreational Softball. Click here to register:

Our levels will remain the same as last year. We will offer 4 divisions of teams.

Mini Mustangs - Pre-K and Kindergarten girls. This division meets once per week on Sunday afternoons for an hour of skills and scrimmaging.

Jr. Mustangs - 1st and 2nd grade. This division is a coach-pitch house league. Girls are divided onto small teams with their classmates. This division meets twice per week. Tuesday evenings are for skills and drills and Sunday afternoons are for games.

Junior Division - 3rd through 5th graders. This division has evaluations in March, and teams are selected via draft to ensure talent is as evenly divided as is possible. These teams play travel-lite with other local towns in the Norfolk County Softball League. Towns include Walpole, Dedham, Westwood, and Foxborough. Games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practices are scheduled at the discretion of the coach (at least one practice per week).

Senior Division - 6th through 8th graders. This division also has evaluations in March with teams selected via draft. Senior teams play in the Norfolk County Softball League with Walpole, Dedham, Westwood, and Foxborough. Games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practices are scheduled at the discretion of the coach (2 practices per week).

See our website for more information on each division.

Please let us know if there are any questions, and please pass this message along to your friends!

See you in the spring!

2020 Winter Clinics

Start off the New Year right by improving your softball skills! Spring will be here before you know it.

We are pleased to again be offering two clinics on Sunday nights in the Coakley Gym. Clinics will begin THIS SUNDAY, JANUARY 5.

6-7 p.m. - Pitching and Catching

7-8 p.m. - Hitting and Fielding (Hitting and fielding are done on opposite weeks, so there are 4 hitting sessions and 4 fielding sessions)

The cost of the clinic is $110 for 8 weeks or $15/week. Walk-ons are available. Pitchers and catchers can choose to participate in just the first clinic, or they can stay for the hitting and fielding clinic for no additional fee. These clinics are open to all girls in grades 3-8. If you are unsure if the whole 8 weeks is for you, come this Sunday, pay the $15 weekly fee, and if you choose to sign up for the rest of the 7 weeks, we will apply the $15 fee to the discounted 8-week rate.

Participants must wear athletic clothing (sneakers only in the gym), bring a glove, and come willing to work hard and learn new skills. Catchers should bring gear if they have it. Girls may bring their own ASA-approved bats. The girls will be grouped according to age and ability. This is a great opportunity to keep skills fresh before the spring season. For catchers, especially minor league players (grades 3-5), this is a great opportunity to learn catcher-specific skills that will be useful as we compete in the Norfolk County Softball League this spring.

This winter we are so very excited to be welcoming the following coaches for our winter clinics.

Christina Berardi - Pitching/Hitting

  • Christina was most recently an Assistant Coach/Pitching Specialist for the NCAA Division I Stony Brook University Seawolves in New York. Prior to coaching at SBU, Christina was the head coach of the NCAA Division II Queens College Knights and an Assistant Coach at SNHU (NCAA Division II). During her playing career, she was a 4-year starter at Long Island University (NCAA Division I) where she earned NFCA First Team All-Region honors in her Senior year.

Emily Kurkul - Catching/Hitting

  • Emily is currently a coach for the 14U Mass Drifters, a club team based in Taunton, MA. Emily spent 4 years playing softball at Merrimack College (Div I) where she was a starting catcher. Prior to Merrimack, she was a standout at Bridgewater-Raynham High School where she earned Boston Globe, Herald, and Brockton Enterprises All-Scholastic Honors as well as being named an NFCA All-American.

Carol Savino - Hitting/Fielding

  • We are pleased to welcome back Norwood High School Varsity Coach Carol Savino for the 3rd consecutive year. Carol has been the NHS varsity coach for the past 9 years, leading the Mustangs to be Tri-Valley Large Champions in their first season in the new league this past spring. The Mustangs are perennial participants in the MIAA State Tournament under Savino, frequently making deep runs. Carol also founded the Mass Drifters Softball Club more than 30 years ago, which has produced numerous Division I, II, and III recruits.

Registration for the 8 week session is currently open and can be reached by clicking this link: There will also be registrations for individual weeks. Although walk-ons are accepted, pre-registering for a specific week is encouraging. You can see our full list of available registrations here:

Clinic Dates: 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/9, 2/23, 3/1, and 3/8.

We will NOT have clinics on 2/2 (Super Bowl) and 2/16 (first Sunday of Feb Vacation). In the event the Patriots are in the AFC Championship on 1/19, we may move that date to 3/15. (Fingers crossed!)

If you have any questions, please reply to this message and we will reply as soon as we can. Please also share this with your friends! No experience is necessary!
