Congratulations Town Champions - Season Rewind!

Congratulations to Senior Division Town Champions Maine Black Bears and Junior Division Town Champions Cardinals.  Maine swept Oklahoma in their best of 3 series, 2-0.  The Cardinals topped the Gators 4-0 and also went on to win the Norfolk County League Championship, defeating Westwood 9-0.

This tops of a great season of softball; a season many people did not think would happen.  We at Norwood Youth Softball would like to

thank all of our volunteers - without your dedication, time, and effort we can't be a successful softball program.  Our spring season was delayed about 3 months and we thank all of our parents for sticking it out with us.  Our Board looked at the situation back in April and we strongly felt that we could "wait it out" and get our kids on the field.  We met frequently and developed a successful plan with Westwood Youth Softball to get our kids on the field.  With careful adherence to state and town guidance we safely played 93 games between 10 teams and 120+ kids in the Junior/Senior Divisions between Norwood and Westwood.  We also had approximately 10 completely safe sessions of about 50 kids in our Norwood Junior and Mini Mustang programs.

We are capitalizing on our fantastic spring/summer season with an all-time record fall ball registration.  Norwood Youth Softball will be fielding FIVE teams in the Charles River Softball League from 10U through 14U.  The enthusiasm from our parents has been resounding - we thank you for all of your kind words and encouragement.

Thank you,

Norwood Youth Softball
