2026 Spring Clinic - 2-5th Grades | March 8th - Spring I 2026

Shake off the rust with a two-hour softball clinic. This clinic will be on Sunday March 8th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Norwood High School Gymnasium. Any players from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grade are welcome to attend. One hour of fielding and one hour of hitting. Wear athletic attire with sneakers and bring your glove. Clinic will be run by former Norwood High School Varsity Softball players Katie and Allison. Cost is $25.00.

Mini-Mustangs

Registration for the spring Mini-Mustangs (Pre-K, K and 1st Grade) will be through the Norwood Recreation Center this year. Please look for more information in their Spring Program Guide. Registratrion opens on February 27th at http://norwoodma.myrec.com/

Here is a description of this year's program.

Mini-Mustangs is for girls in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. This is a 5-week program with one session per week starting Sunday, April 19th, and continuing on 4/26, 5/03, 5/10, and 5/17. Mother's Day is on 5/10, but we will still have our session. Any rainouts will extend the program a week. The Location will be the Lower Cleveland softball field on Sunday mornings, 9:00 to 10:15 am. The focus of the Mini-Mustangs is to learn the fundamentals of softball in a non-competitive, fun atmosphere. All you will need is a glove and some athletic attire. For the last week of Mini Mustangs, we will divide the girls into teams and have a game. Last year, we also celebrated the season with an ice cream truck for the girls. The cost is $70.00. We keep the program as affordable as possible. To do this, we ask for Volunteers. Please take the time to register as a volunteer as well.
